Mary is always right. In the last few months, we’ve recounted Mary’s thoughts on to do lists and other things, but today we’re going to tackle the most important lesson Mary has to offer: the power of positive thinking.
In her famous song A Spoonful of Sugar, Mary reminds us that just a little sugar can make even the worst thing a little easier to swallow. There are lots of times when Mary’s advice really comes into play: when you have to tidy up your house, or when you have a bunch of errands to run over the weekend, or when you have a long paper to write. What do you do in situations like these?
Easy. Remember this:
In ev’ry job that must be done
There is an element of fun
You find the fun and snap!
The job’s a game!
Things we’re taking away from this include: always have a spoon with you, fill that spoon with sugar, and SNAP. Also, can anyone confirm whether this mention of snap is where “Oh, snap” originated? We’re not convinced that it isn’t.
