Today is April Fools’ Day and (for today only) your friends and family might be the enemy. They’re going to try to (forgive our grandparent-like phrasing) pull the wool over your eyes. For this twenty-four hour period, you won’t know the truth from a farce or reality from the not-so-much. We at OMD want you to be armed with the skills you need to combat the confusion and emerge knowing the truth. To assist in this feat, we will now present you with some Disney moments filled with fooling to help you practice.
This dragon is the same being as the lady below.
We know, right?
Don’t be fooled by its commonplace appearance. Like so many things, it’s not what’s on the outside but what’s on the inside that counts.
This is no ordinary apple. And that “one bite” thing is a lie. (And, while we’re on the subject, that’s not an actual old lady.)
Yep. We don’t care how pretty and nice she seems, Vanessa is a sea witch in disguise. Also she can’t sing.
This is also no ordinary apple. And, again, this is not a real old woman. (Do you see a trend here?)
This tiger is actually the Genie!
The little boy in the middle? Also actually the Genie.
Seriously, still the Genie.
We promise this is the last “still the Genie” picture.
None of these are Genie, but those are also not snakes.
There. Now you’ve practiced knowing the real from the fake apple. We feel ready for any pranks that might come our way. We hope you do, too! And remember, don’t be April Fooled. It’s like the narrator in Aladdin says so wonderfully ominously: “Things are not always what they seem!”
