With the Oscars fast approaching, we figured we ought to practice our “I’m extremely cool, fashionable, and enviable” strut in case we should find ourselves on a red carpet. You never know when a celeb is going to need a last minute date, right? (We know. It’s unlikely. Just let us have this moment.) We knew we needed a role model with personality and style to spare. Naturally, our minds turned to Mickey’s lady love: Minnie.
We got our unbelievably lucky hands on some never-before-seen drawings that were used to make the 1933 short called “Mickey’s Gala Premier.”
For a little background, it’s a short in which Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Clarabelle Cow, and Horace Horsecollar go to the premiere of their newest cartoon. They walk down an actual red carpet. For reals! What better example could we find?
So, without further ado, we give you Minnie Mouse:
Did you get all that? Shall we break it down a little? Basically, just own it.
Give it a smidgen of saunter.

Walk like each step is its own little show.

And don’t worry if anyone’s watching.

Remember: great red carpet style doesn’t require an audience to be exceptional.
