When I first visited Ariel in Disneyland, she noticed my brightly colored Tinker Bell shirt. Then she sang a song from the movie to me while the younger children in line waited patiently for the “old man” to have his turn talking to The Little Mermaid.
I saved the Disney photo of my encounter with Ariel and took it back when I visited Disneyland again the next year. Ariel mentioned my T-shirt (I was wearing the same one) and I said it was the same shirt I had worn the last time I met her. I took out my photo for her to sign, and Ariel shrieked, holding the photo up to the Cast Members, “Look. It’s me!” What a great character and what a great (two) visits.
