Night in the Castle

This event happened in 2008. We go to Disney World every year over Thanksgiving, and it was the “Year of a Million Dreams.” This particular morning we were going to Blizzard Beach, but we didn’t get a very early start as it was sort of chilly. My granddaughter, who was nine, went running over to the snow people and called to have her picture taken. Then two people came over and said anyone that had their picture taken at this spot at this time won a prize. Of course she was all excited, but when she was told what her prize was, she was beyond happy. Her prize was a night’s stay in Cinderella Castle! She was so happy she cried (well, we all did).

It was just the most memorable time ever. We were grand marshals in the three o’clock parade, we had dinner at Cinderella’s Table and special seating for “Wishes,” and everyone treated us so wonderfully. It was just the greatest experience and the memory of a lifetime. Thank you Chelsea for taking Mom, Dad, and the family with you – it was the thrill of a lifetime. And thank you, Disney – you make everything so special.
